Every API,
one paste away.

Wisp is a native macOS API client. Paste a URL or a cURL — it keeps the secrets in your Keychain, reads the schema, and tells you why a request failed.

Credentials

Secrets stay in the Keychain.

Paste a request that carries a token and Wisp spots it — Bearer, Basic, API-key headers, api_key in the URL. One click moves it into a Keychain-backed variable and scrubs it from your history.

  • One environment per API, picked automatically from the host
  • Auth is never sent to another host — not even on redirects
  • OAuth 2 with PKCE; tokens cached and refreshed for you

Import

From docs page to requests.

Paste an API's documentation URL. Wisp finds the OpenAPI spec behind Swagger UI, Redoc, Scalar, Stoplight or RapiDoc and builds every endpoint — grouped by tag, with example bodies, auth and a ready environment.

  • OpenAPI 3 & Swagger 2, JSON or YAML
  • Postman, Insomnia, HAR and cURL

GraphQL

Schema-aware, from the first request.

Wisp introspects the schema with your auth and lets you build operations visually — nested fields, unions, typed inputs. It writes the query and variables, and surfaces errors even when the status says 200.

Diagnostics

Know why it failed.

A 401 tells you which auth the API expects. An HTML page instead of JSON is summarised with its likely cause — a redirect, a sign-in page, a gateway error. Redirects are listed hop by hop.

  • Rate-limit budgets, deprecations and request IDs
  • Next page across Link headers, cursors and page numbers

Code

Code you'd actually write.

Export any request as idiomatic cURL, HTTPie, JavaScript fetch, Python requests, Laravel Http, PHP, Go or Swift. Or export a whole collection as Markdown docs, secrets masked.
